General hours of work are 45 hours per week, between 7am and 6pm, including some weekends.

We give expert support from the consultation and design phase, right through to work completion and sign-off.

Responsibilities:

The Traffic Management Scheduler is a pivotal role within our utilities business as you will take full responsibility for scheduling all activities for our utility’s contracts. You will report into the Contract Manager to assist in logistically managing the workload of a team of Traffic Management Operatives to ensure they are under-taking work at the expected standards, times and locations.

This will include:

Scheduling planned and reactive traffic management works to our supporting depots, liaising with operatives regarding the day-to-day business, utilising all tools available to you to efficiently utilise the available resource, joining daily meetings with clients, dealing with TMA queries from the client, reviewing of scheduled works, assisting in the end-to-end process for delivery of works, liaising with clients on job specific requirements and maintaining accurate data on internal and external systems. Travel to our depots may be required at times.

What good looks like for a Traffic Management Scheduler:

  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Confident to work with Orion/SAP and other IT systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, where necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills both face to face and over the telephone.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Ability to quickly resolve scheduling and logistics conflicts.
  • Ability to complete work tasks with thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency.

 

We would appreciate:

  • Traffic management experience, but this is not essential
  • Scheduling & Planning experience, again not essential as full raining will be provided
  • Driving licence with own transport as travel to other depots may be required at times
