General working hours:  40 - 48 hours per week

While shifts typically occur during the day, you may also be required to work evenings, nights, and weekends.  Additionally, you will be included in the on-call rota,when you have access to a company van.

Chevron Traffic Management ensures road workers and users stay safe during roadworks by setting up temporary road closures, diversion routes, and pedestrian walkways. We handle everything from cones and signage to traffic lights and barriers. Our work is visible nationwide.

We consult, plan, design, and collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure effective schemes. We also use innovation and technology to enhance safety and reduce our carbon footprint.

 

Your Role as a M1 M2 Traffic Management Operative:

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Conduct Traffic Counts: Gather essential data and communicate with clients and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain Temporary Traffic Lights: Keep our temporary traffic lights in top condition for safe and efficient traffic flow.
  • Deploy Traffic Management Solutions: Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management equipment, including:
    • Cones
    • Signs
    • Frames
    • Sandbags
  • Mentor New Trainees: Share your knowledge and guide new team members as they learn the ropes.

 

What we are looking for:

As a Qualified Traffic Management Operative the below requirements are essential!

  • Qualifications: Minimum M1/M2,    ********SLG Unit 2 will be considered********** 
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations.
  • Driving Licence: Full licence with no more than 6 points. Any driving bans must have expired at least 5 years ago.
  • Testing: Must pass a drug and alcohol test
  • Attitude: Positive, “can-do” mindset.
  • Skills: Adaptability, flexibility, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Flexibility: Able to work weekends, nights.

*Traffic Management Training is subject to signing a training agreement.
