Traffic Management Operative - Qualified only ** Must hold a full UK licence with less than 6 points**

Salary: to be discussed based on experience and qualifications. These roles come with bonus, overtime opportunity, on call payments and London weighting.

Salary is paid on a fortnightly basis.

Shifts: 7 days on and 3 days off, then another 7 days on and 3 days off, followed by 4 days on and 4 days off. This means you will work only 2 weekends per month

Guaranteed hours of work are 48 hours per week depending on location and rota. Hours and shifts include days, evenings, nights and weekends with the option of overtime as required. You will also be required to be on the on-call rota.

All operatives, supervisors and management are trained to NRSWA unit 2 and 10 as a minimum requirement along with a robust induction to ensure Health and Safety, on-the-job and task-specific training are at a premium. About the role of a Traffic Management Operative

Responsibilities: 

The Traffic Management Operative sits at the heart of everything we and you will be responsible for: 

  • Installing, maintaining and removing temporary traffic management such as deploying cones, signs, frames, and bags and high and other equipment on low-speed roads. 
  • Undertaking traffic counts, calls to clients and subcontractors, timings and near misses 
  • Maintenance of temporary traffic lights 
  • Helping and guiding new trainees 

 

What good looks like: 

Traffic Management experience would be great but not essential as training will be provided.

  • Unit 2 Traffic Management
  • TTMBC/T1 T2
  • Physically fit and able to pass a safety critical worker medical and any other relevant medical assessments your offer will depend on the outcome of this
  • You will possess a full driving licence, with no more than 6 points. Bans must be 5 years clear of date given.
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol test your offer will depend on the outcome of this   
  • Positive “can-do” attitude
