About the role of a Safety Barrier Operative

Whether you're looking for a fresh start or a new challenge, we’ll give you all the training and qualifications you need to become a fully certified Safety Barrier Operative. If you enjoy working outdoors, like getting stuck in, and have a great attitude – this could be the perfect fit for you!
Responsibilities of a Safety Barrier Operative
Installing and building Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS) – including terminals, transitions, parapets, and more.
Inspecting and testing existing safety barrier systems.
Repairing damaged or faulty installations.
Helping construct noise and environmental barriers.
What makes a great Safety Barrier Operative
Reliable and take pride in delivering great service.
Team players with a positive, can-do attitude.
Mechanically curious– you like figuring out how things work.
Hold a full UK driving licence (with 6 points or fewer).
Able to pass a drug & alcohol test and a safety-critical medical (it’s a physical job!).
What else looks good (Not essential)
Experience in construction or similar hands-on roles.
GRAB, HGV, or Class 2 driving experience.
Already have some VRS knowledge? Even better!
