Job title – Operatives

Location - Area 12 Yorkshire - Doncaster depot DN6 0AA

40 - 50 hours per week consisting of day or night work with occasional weekend work included.

Hourly rate is dependent on qualifications and experience and will be discussed at interview.

Travelling is part of the role as we have depots and work sites across the UK. Therefore, you must have a full, valid UK driving license, with under 6 points, and be able to drive work vehicles

Applicants must have hold a CSCS card and have Arboriculture experience please see below 

*Occasional staying away will be required*

About the role of an Operative

Covering the soft estate on the strategic highways, to predominantly include cyclical grass cutting, herbicide treatment, arboriculture and planting schemes.

The candidate should be experienced in highways soft estate works.

A good understanding of Health & Safety is essential.

Operatives will work in a team under the supervision of a working supervisor/team leader to help deliver all contractual obligations to an exceptional standard.

Responsibilities of an Operative:

Chevron Green Services are looking for an experienced operative for Highways Area 12 covering the North Region.

Covering the soft estate on the strategic highways, to predominantly include cyclical grass cutting, herbicide treatment, arboriculture and planting schemes.

The candidate should be experienced in highways soft estate works.

A good understanding of Health & Safety is essential.

Operatives will work in a team under the supervision of a working supervisor to help deliver all contractual obligations to an exceptional standard.

  • NPTC Pesticides PA1 & PA6A

  • NPTC Chainsaw CS30, CS31a, CS31b,
  • NTPC Climbing CS38 & CS39
  • NPTC Chainsaw from a MEWP CS47
  • NPTC Brushwood Chippers
  • IPAF – MEWPS
  • Full driving license
  • Towing experience
  • HGV Class 2
