Operations Scheduler 

Salary: £28k to £32k per year, depending on skills and experience with company benefits

Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00-17:30. You will also be required to be on the on-call rota.

The Role of Operations Scheduler

As part of our operations team, you will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring across our TM Operative crews. This will involve monitoring works submitted to ensure quality service is being delivered on site. You should have previous experience providing feedback, both positive and constructive, to deliver results. We are committed to our people’s continuous professional development; therefore, you would ensure all of our Traffic Management Operatives receive the appropriate training required.

You should be able to demonstrate previous experience recruiting and developing a committed team.  This role involves employing the TM crews and cultivating relationships to motivate and inspire excellence to deliver the service expected of our customers.   

Your role is to also assist with the scheduling of works ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time. This involves programming reactive work through our computer systems namely implementing scheduling changes for emergencies and cancellations in a timeous and professional manner. Traffic management is a fast paced and changeable working environment; therefore, the successful applicant will have previous experience scheduling works for a large workforce. 

We are a 24/7 business responding to emergency roadworks for clients as and when necessary.  As such we all share responsibility in covering the standby, on a rota basis, providing an out of office service for both clients and Operatives.

Essential:

  • Previous experience of scheduling and organising work for large workforce
  • Inspirational and Motivational Leadership experience
  • Excellent communications skills: written, verbal and presentation
  • Computer literacy
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Desirable:

  • Scheduling works within a logistics background may be advantageous.
  • Previous experience within the TM industry
