Mon- Fri 9am-5pm 37.5 hrs per week with 30 Minute Lunch break.

About the role of the Management Accountant

This is a “hands on business partnering” role in which the role-holder will be responsible for various finance/commercial projects across Highway Resource Solutions (HRS) as well as day-to-day Management Accountant responsibilities. 

The role-holder will have primary responsibility for month end reporting, audit compliance, and any other management financial reporting requirements the business may have. The role-holder will be key to delivering a strong financial control environment for the company.

They will also assist the Group Finance team in meeting the information requirements of all internal and external stakeholders of the wider Ramuden Group.

Responsibilities of the Management Accountant

  • Production of monthly management accounts and KPI reporting in accordance with group reporting deadlines and formats, working with the HRS management team to develop understanding of the financials.
  • Full Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Develop internal forecasts (P&L & Cash) based on latest view production and revenue and analyse variances.
  • Cost analysis – business partnering with the operational teams in order to understand trends and potential opportunities.
  • Revenue recognition process, ensuring appropriate controls around completeness and accuracy of income, and appropriate cash collection processes. Liaising with Senior Managers to check completeness and accuracy of revenue.
  • Building a framework to understand ‘full life cycle’ product production costs.
  • Ad hoc analysis as requested by senior management.

  • Part Qualified/Newly Qualified Accountant
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience of preparing financial and KPI reporting
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, able to influence all levels of the organisation.
  • Resilient, determined, willing to “go the extra mile”.
  • Eager to understand what drives financial performance as well as report on it.

What else looks good – non essential

  • Experience of changing/implementing new reporting tools
  • Broad project management experience
  • NetSuite experience
