About the role of Fleet and Asset Cordinator:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Fleet & Asset Coordinator to support the management of fleet and asset operations across the South of England region. The role is responsible for coordinating Chevron Traffic Management's specialist vehicle fleet and operational assets, ensuring vehicles, plant, and equipment are compliant, well-maintained, cost-effective, and readily available to support business operations.
Working closely with depots and operational teams, the Fleet & Asset Coordinator will help ensure the efficient allocation, tracking, servicing, and compliance of fleet vehicles and assets across the Southeast. Chevron TM operates an extensive network of depots and specialist traffic management vehicles, supporting highways, utilities, rail, local authority, and construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational readiness and supporting the delivery of safe and effective traffic management services.
Responsibilities of Fleet and Asset Cordinator:

- Coordinate the day-to-day administration of the company fleet and assets, including specialist traffic management vehicles, IPV units, traffic light vehicles, vans, and HGVs.
- Support fleet compliance activities, ensuring vehicle records, inspections, servicing schedules, and documentation meet DVSA, operator licence, health and safety, and company requirements.
- Schedule and track preventative maintenance, vehicle inspections, servicing, repairs, and defect rectification to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Monitor fleet expenditure, fuel usage, supplier invoices, and asset records, providing accurate reporting and analysis where required.
- Assist in maximising fleet utilisation and availability to support operational teams across the Southeast region.
- Maintain accurate fleet and asset management systems, producing regular reports on utilisation, costs, compliance, maintenance, and performance.
- Liaise with, depots, workshops, and operational teams to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of fleet-related issues.
- Support Operations Manager with fleet and asset queries, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance fleet efficiency, asset control, operational performance, and safety standards.
Key Skills & Experience

- Experience in a fleet, transport, logistics, or asset coordination role within highways, construction, utilities, infrastructure, or a similar operational environment.
- Good understanding of fleet asset requirements, vehicle maintenance processes, and operator licence obligations.
- Experience supporting the administration and coordination of vehicle fleets across multiple sites or locations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to monitor costs, track expenditure, and maintain accurate fleet and asset records.
- Experience liaising with external suppliers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient fleet operations.
- Proficient in data management, reporting, and analysing fleet performance information.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Competent user of fleet management systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement, helping to drive efficiency and compliance across the fleet and asset function.
