About the role of Contract Supervisor
Supervise workforce members to make a positive contribution in achieving the contract outcomes in a timely and safe manner.
Lead by example in providing a professional and efficient service on behalf of CGS. Organise and oversee work of subcontractors, partners and CGS workforce to achieve contract outcomes.
Issue contract instructions to the workforce in a clear manner to promote a safe, organised, and efficient site or workplace.
Key responsibilities of a Contract Supervisor
- Allocate workforce and equipment as appropriate to achieve CGS contract outcomes.
- Arrange scheduling to ensure efficient provision of green services activities, grounds maintenance, arboricultural and other related tasks.
- Support workforce to complete work tasks. Collate and check daily/weekly target reports from teams to report on achievement to line manager.
- Maintain requirements and training within teams to ensure work is completed to the correct standards as trained and in line with health and safety legislation.
- Provide communication and contractual details to the client as required.
- Deal with promptly any issues that affect the day to day running of the contracts.
- Prepare and circulate required documentation for the site, team and operatives as scheduled.
- Undertake/delegate other duties and functions as directed which are appropriate to the contract.
- To wear the regulation uniform and personal protective equipment provided and keep it clean and tidy.
- Deal with and then notify line managers at the earliest opportunity of significant or potentially disruptive works/incidents to prevent or reduce delays, near misses or damage.
- Ensure any vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment is checked, recorded, and returned fit to be used, clean and tidy. In the event of damage or defect, ensure that these are dealt with appropriately to prevent incidents or lost work time.
- To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time commensurate with the level of the post.To comply with all decisions, policies, procedures and standing orders of Chevron Green Services Ltd and any relevant statutory requirements, including the Equality Act, the Health and Safety at Work Act and Data Protection Act.

- Knowledge and experience of ecology, arboriculture, legislation, survey techniques and subject specific issues
- Experience of delivering contracts within a commercially competitive environment
- Excellent organisational skills with a logical approach problem solving.

- Experience of contract management and client liaison.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as part of a small team.
- Prioritise tasks and manage their own workload and those of other team members.
